Chinchilla Rescue Paw

  Where the money goes

It is growing increasingly difficult for us to raise enough funds to pay for the vets fees as well as providing their food and toys.

Not only do we pay any outstanding invoices when funds are low ourselves, but we give all of our free time into running our rescue, day and night, including many sleepless nights.

Your donations are needed to help us give these lovely chinchillas the life they deserve.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our vet, Martin who has supported us in every way possible.

Please see our rescue stories to see the chinchillas donations have been spent on. Thank you for your support.

Where the money goes

Did you know that:

£0.50 would feed one chinchilla with pellets for approximately 2 weeks

£1.50 would buy a large bag of raisins

£1.75 would buy one sachet of Supreme Science Recovery Food

£2.50 would feed one chinchilla an oat mix supplement for approximately 2 weeks

£3.00 would pay for one sachet of Pro-biotics

£3.50 would buy one bale of hay

£6.00 would buy a tube of Aureomycin Ophthalmic

£7.00 would buy 10ml bottle of Baytril

£7.50 would buy 20kg bag of Duggins Pellets

£10.00 would buy 20kg of sand

£10.50 would help pay for Vets Inhouse Laboratory Cytology

£14.50 would pay for Euthanasia (Sorry to bring this up—but it has to be done)

£15.00 would buy 25kg Jumbo Oats

£22.00 would pay for Biochem Tests

£23.50 would pay for General Anaesthesia

£30.00 would pay for one X-ray

£38.00 would pay for one castration

£39.00 would pay for amputation of tail tip

£105.00 would pay for Cystotomy operation

£105.00 would pay for eye surgery (Meds extra)

£120.00 would pay for a Caesarian Section

These are just a few examples of how the money is used.

All donations are gratefully received, no matter how big, no matter how small as every penny counts.

Thank you for your support.

Rescued
Sadly, many of the chinchillas coming into our rescue are suffering from malocclusion.

We try to make their lives as comfortable as possible with the help of our vet,but when their quality of life is affected, then we have to say goodbye and they go over the rainbow bridge to a better place free from pain.

Here are just a few of the rescue chinchillas that have gone to a better place.

We do not have photos for all the chins we rescue - sometimes taking a photo is not appropriate.
